While designing this pattern, I remembered something I had completely forgotten about!

Back in the early days I loved to use my weekends to apply Mehndi to my (or my friend’s) hands and feet! Just for fun.

Applying Mehndi is a meditative and very relaxing process and, in my eyes, looks beautiful, too.

When applying Mehndi to my friend’s hands and feet, it was more about socialising, having tea together and being able to end a lovely day with a visible memory.

While creating this illustration today, I definitely noticed the lack of routine. A harmonious pattern did not come in one go.

After all, it has been years since I last applied Mehndi.

Just had a thought… how lovely would a cake look with this intricate pattern!?

Definitely must keep this idea warm.

By the way, this illustration is now available as print and more (personally, am fond of the t-shirts!) in my S6 Babybluesnowflake store.

Ok, now I need to go finish cooking Kitchari. Am soooo hungry!

Have a great weekend!
